21st Anniversary!

April 22, from 10:00 to 11:30 on the coast of Maine. Anyone interested is invited to attend and watch or participate. Watching is fine! No experience necessary.

The WTCQD organization (Bill Douglas) sponsors this grass-roots event each year, held on the last Saturday of April, at 10:00 in the morning- practitioners around the world gather in their communities for a global celebration of T’ai Chi & Qigong. The result is a wave that passes from time zone to time zone at 10:00am, documented on the WTCQD website. 80 nations participating! We have been observing this special celebration locally at Bowdoin College for 17 years, hosting the largest event in the state. Our local event is hosted by  Bowdoin College Counseling Service, Maine Coast Taijiquan, and Maine Center for Taijiquan and Qigong Studies. Find out more at And check out our web-page dedicated to the event, including the video of the 2014 gathering.
