21st Anniversary!

May 30th, from 10:00 to 11:30 on the coast of Maine. Anyone interested is invited to attend and watch or participate. Watching is fine! No experience necessary.

The WTCQD organization (Bill Douglas) sponsors this grass-roots event each year, held on the last Saturday of April, at 10:00 in the morning (this year only, date changed to last Saturday in May)- practitioners around the world gather in their communities for a global celebration of T’ai Chi & Qigong. The result is a wave that passes from time zone to time zone at 10:00am, documented on the WTCQD website. 80 nations participating! We have been observing this special celebration locally at Bowdoin College for 17 years, hosting the largest event in the state. PLEASE NOTE: this year the Bowdoin College Campus is closed. Instead of a large regional event, we will be holding a more local event at Winslow Park in Freeport. All still invited. We will spread out to insure safe personal distance, and we will keep it low key. Other local groups are encouraged to host their own events. Or go outside on your own and tap into the global wave. Find out more at And check out our web-page dedicated to the event, including the video of the 2014 gathering.
