Yang Style Taiji Saber is a graceful, flowing weapon form that teaches strong upper body movement and stance transitions, dan tien rotation, and extension of energy beyond the hands, while imparting a traditional sequence originating from the Yang Family lineage. Building on the movements of the Yang Style Taijiquan 108 movement empty hand sequence, the saber cultivates large circle expression before the smaller, more subtle circles of the sword are introduced.

The workshop will offer introductory cutting patterns for those new to the form, and additions and refinements for those already studying the sequence.

Ken Ryan teaches Taijiquan and Qigong full time through his school, Maine Coast Taijiquan.
