Bowdoin College Asian Student Association and Counseling Service will co-host Master Bing (Zhong Xue Chao) who will share part of the 5 Animal Qigong as taught on legendary Wudang Mountain, where he received his training and teaches authentic Wudang Kung Fu. We are very fortunate to have him come to Bowdoin College to share his cultural experiences- Wudang Mountain has a reputation as a Taoist spiritual center, made familiar in this country in the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon– and to teach this ancient Qigong set.  Each animal represents an element in Chinese Medicine and corresponds with organ specific systems that in turn correspond with health issues. The complete set is an integrated approach to maintaining a healthy body-mind-spirit. No experience in T’ai Chi or Qigong necessary.
